Last week we posted a news article about U2 to play a free show to mark the 20th anniversary of the Berlin wall coming down which will be broadcast tonight as part of the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009. We've just learnt that the organisers have just erected a wall around the Brandenburg Gate where the band will be playing this historic show.

This weekend LickLibrary will be at Music Live & The Hellfire Festival II at the Birmingham NEC, if you haven't already pick up your tickets and come along. We'll be filming at the event so stay tuned in the future for our coverage of the events. Good news for Slash fans this week, after signing to Roadrunner Records earlier this week in the UK for the European Release of his forth coming solo album Classic Rock magazine announced that they are teaming up with Slash and Roadrunner Records to release the album in a unique fan 'pack' which will be the first available format of the album anywhere in the world (Europe).
Good news for Steve Hackett, we just learnt that his new album 'Out of The Tunnel's Mouth' has finally been given clearance to go ahead just in time for his UK tour to start next week.

Last night (November 1st) former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore took to the stage at London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, fans who attended have said about the event "Gary Moore was FANTASTIC!!!!! I love his beautiful solo's."
The Classic Rock Awards were held last night at the Park Lane hotel in London. Winner included; Iggy Pop, Ronnie Wood, John Bonham, Ginger Baker, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Tony Iommi, Chickenfoot, Anvil and Download Festival won Event of the Year.

Green Day have announced 2 new UK stadium shows for summer 2010.
Drummer Chad Smith says plans are to release the album "sometime next year" but the band have reportedly said the follow up to 2006's 'Stadium Arcadium' album could be released by October 2010.
