Q&A's from the webcast

Q. Who is your biggest inspiration?
A. Well, it kind of depends really, when I first started playing guitar Slash from Guns N Roses was a big influence of mine and I started learning all the Guns N Roses songs and stuff like that, getting to grips with alot of the solos, which I kind of felt was a good grounding to move my technique and stuff forward. (See more on this answer on the video on the left.)
Q. I’m 19 and just started to learn to play guitar, is it too late for me to become a great guitar player and shred like you?
A. No I don’t think so at 19. I think Steve Vai was 15 or 16 when he started and look where he is now. When he was about 18 or 19 he landed a gig with Frank Zappa and went on to do Alcatraz, David Lee Roth, Whitesnake and then his own career, so you could be the next Steve Vai. I’d get practicing!
Q. What are you working on at the moment, outside of LickLibrary. New Solo CD or Sacred Mother Tongue record? When’s a new Sacred Mother Tongue album coming out?
A. That is a very good question, we’ve got loads of new demos laying around, we’re currently going through some new material, live we’re definitely doing at least 1 new track. So if any of you guys come to see us from now onwards or have seen us in the last couple of months or so you’ll have heard a new tune. So that’s a sign of things to come. (for Sacred Mother Tongue)
