Hi Anthony,[br]
[br]
As a beginner I recommend the following:[br]
[br]
1. Get used to your guitar just strumming at first holding the pick can be tricky at first, then begin with your basic chords A, C, D, E and G all of which can be found on Licklibrary if you don,t know the shapes.[br]
[br]
2. Make sure you pace yourself try not to rush things at first you will think this is impossible...just slow down and practice for about 5 to 10 mins at a time, extend this time scale when feeling more confident.[br]
[br]
3. Learn your Minor and Major Pentatonic scales.[br]
[br]
4. Find all the notes on your guitar e.g. all A notes, B notes, C notes etc...[br]
[br]
5. Enjoy playing guitar this is the most important factor, perhaps not 6months of things to keep you busy but being a beginner this is more than enough for now.[br]
