Them Crooked Vultures to make live UK debut tonight?
Wed, 26 Aug 2009
There is more speculation and rumour about the supergroup which combines Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age today. Now, Them Crooked Vultures are rumoured to be making their live debut in the UK in support of Arctic Monkeys tonight!
Arctic Monkeys are holding a one-off performance tonight (26th Aug) at Brixton's O2 Academy, to celebrate the release of new album Humbug. The rumours have been fuelled by the Monkeys mentioning their support as "very special guests." This has, in turn, fired the fans' imaginations, as Josh Homme produced most of the Humbug album!
Excitement is growing on the mysterious bands' own website, with hear-say and speculation as to Them Crooked Vultures' current whereabouts. It has been suggested that the group are in fact in London, however this is yet to be proven.
Them Crooked Vultures recently made surprise appearances at Pukkelpop and Lowlands festivals, after LickLibrary had reported rumours of the supergroup being linked to these shows. It was also reported that Josh Homme Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones would be playing a gig in London on Monday night, this was later found to be untrue.
What certainly is clear, is that Them Crooked Vultures will be a tough act for anyone to follow, and even though Josh Homme and the Arctic Monkeys are now good friends, the secrecy surrounding this new supergroup means that the fans are constantly left to guess for themselves. LickLibrary will continue to try and get to the truth behind the rumours...
