Stewart Copeland - arguably one of the best drummers of all time - broke his silence yesterday to reveal that 'it has always been too easy to assume it was just a clash of egos, and that was always very frustrating for me because it's so far from the truth' as he was talking about The Police

‘In fact, we are very selfless in the Police, all three of us; we really leave our egos at the door and go in there and take a pasting from eachother'

LickLibrary has always celebrated the artist, as one of the most proficient drummers in the world, and brought out a DVD of his influential legendary technique.

The Police are not breaking up – fans will be happy to hear! The band are rumored to be playing a European tour his year. This means that younger rockers will get to see the drummer Stewart Copeland live for the first time! Copeland has been celebrated, for a number of years, for his style and technique – he remains one of the best percussionist’s in the world.

Copeland has been in the news recently, for saying that Talking Heads need to ‘get along’. Comparing The Police to Talking Heads, Copeland said; ‘…the Police found - and slayed - a lot of dragons. We really put a lot of misconceptions about each-other, and ourselves, to rest. We conquered the world together.’

The Police certainly did conquer the World – and to this date have sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
