U2 YouTube live webcast & Slash performs with the Black Eyed Peas

On 25th October – U2 Staged a live concert stream on youtube.com live from The Rose Bowl Global Live Webcast.

Fans from around the globe were watching the live event, and a Twitter widget embedded on the U2 YouTube Page kept the fans in touch with each other with #U2webcast trending topic. Although the show was only supposed to broadcast to 16 countries including the US and UK, there were clearly fans in other countries who were lucky enough to catch the event live. 

Even celebrity Tweeters were raving about the event such as guitar legend Slash said “The U2 production is nothing short of spectacular I must say.”  Guitar hero to many Slash also performed “Sweet Child O’ Mine” live with the Black Eyed peas.  We found it here on YouTube so you can watch the performance here.

Although U2 revealed that they are disappointed by the lack of hits from their last album, and that reportedly the band’s current ‘360 Tour’ has yet to make a profile, the fans seem more than excited and supportive of their efforts.
Did you miss it? Then don’t worry YouTube is promising to make the concert available for viewing on the official U2 channel.
