Avenged Sevenfold album update from Zacky Vengeance

In January 2009 Avenged Sevenfold's frontman, M Shadows, announced they had started writing for the new album. The band has been touring since the release of their self titled album with one of the final shows of their touring cycle headlining the Saturn Stage at the UK’s Sonisphere Festival in August.

Last week rhythm guitarist, Zacky Vengeance, left a message on their official website: 

“We have been focused on only one thing, writing and preparing to record what to me is our most personal and epic Avenged Sevenfold album,“ he says. “The reason is the fact that everything happening around us in the entire world might be a once in a life time source of inspiration and direction. We have been harnessing every aspect of what makes A7X truly unrelenting and building off of that.”

The band produced ‘Avenged Sevenfold’ themselves and are now in the final stages of getting everything set up. He goes on to say “We will continue finalizing our songs until we feel every note does both You as well as Us justice.”

As for any indication as to what the new album will be like? “This album will definitely take you on a very dark journey...” and we at LickLibrary can't wait to take the ride with them.
