The Aerosmith saga continues

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeIn less than a week it has gone around the internet making everyone dizzy, has Steven Tyler left Aerosmith, has he not?

At the beginning of the week Joe Perry spoke out that he believed frontman Steven Tyler had left the band, announcing that things hadn't been right between Tyler and the band for some time and communication had been rapidly deteriorating.

It was confirmed that Aerosmith would continue working together and were meeting to discuss their future without Steven Tyler.

Then Tuesday night Steven Tyler appeared onstage with the Joe Perry Project in New York, where he performed 'Walk This Way' with the guitarist before announcing to the crowd that he was not leaving Aerosmith.

However, it seems the future of the band is still in doubt from the bitter messages guitarist, Joe Perry hs been leaving on his Twitter account to referring yesterday to Steve Tyler as an "acquantance" to Rolling Stone Magazine.

"He wants to take two years off from the band," He told the magazine. "The rest of the band wants to keep on working.  We have so many different options to fill up that time.  Anything is possible at this point.  Basically, any communication that we've had over the lst couple of months has been through manager, so that's been pretty strange."

It also appears that Joe Perry was just as surprised as the fans in New York when Steven Tyler showed up at the venue earlier in the week and asked to sing with him.

"Being an acquaintance of 40 years, I said, 'Why not?'" He then continued on to say, "So he came up and sang and that was the last I saw of him."

Something tells us that this is far from over.
