Red Hot Chili Peppers to play special show to honour Neil Young

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeEarly next year, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to take place in a special show to honour Neil Young in Los Angeles.

On 29th January the band, who took an extended break in 2007, will play at the Musicares event.  It marks the 20th anniversary of the event, which is designed to give financial support to musicians and Neil Young will be named 'Person Of The Year' for his charitable work.

The band have also played the event before in 2005 when they showed up to play tribute to Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys.
