This course is designed to focus your practice towards realistic goals achievable in six weeks. Each week provides you with techniques, concepts and licks to help you play and understand blues soloing at a manageable easy to follow pace.

Week one includes:
Pentatonic scale in the first position, Blues scale in the first position, Blues bends, String bending, Vibrato, Combining string bending and vibrato, Blues scale licks, three licks in the style of David Gilmour.

Week two includes:
Phrasing and manipulation, grace notes, 1,2,3 & 4 note combinations, three licks in the style of Gary Moore.

Week three includes:
Major pentatonic, Combining scales; Major, minor pentatonic and blues scale, Upward motion versus downward motion, More phrasing ideas, Shuffle rhythm, 3 licks in the style of Larry Carlton.

Week four includes:
The A minor and pentatonic blues scale in the 2nd position, Repetition of phrasing, Call and response, Simplifying licks, Stretching the time, 3 licks in the style of Eric Clapton

Week five includes:
Same shapes in different positions, call and response between major and minor scales, percussive playing, repeating licks, 3 licks in the style of Paul Kossoff.

Week six includes:
Rhythm ideas, bluesy rock & roll around the A, D and E shapes, playing up a 4th, using 6th and 9th chords, playing lead an punctuating with chords, 3 licks in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
