Slayer cancel European tour

Tue, 17 Nov 2009

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeLast month Slayer were forced to cancel the remainder of their Canadian tour due to Vocalist/basist Tom Araya's back problems, they also had to cancel a scheduled TV performance on US Chat show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

It emerged this week that unfortunately the band would have to cancel their European tour due to the frontman being admitted to hospital for emergency surgery and still needing time to recover.

The tour has been rescheduled to kick off March 7th 2010 in Manchester, England.

The band's official statement reads, "Right now, our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom."
Slayer's new album "World Painted Blood" came out at the beginning of November and is available now.

We wish Tom Araya a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on stage in March!
