"It Might Get Loud" - Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge Exposed!

Thu, 13 Aug 2009

Davis Guggenheim, famed for his documentary version of the book "An Inconvenient Truth" has made a documentary chronicling 3 generations of Rock guitarist, through Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, U2's The Edge, and White Stripes man Jack White. While all 3 are famed for their flare and originality, the Film is set to be an intimate look into their inspirations, and individual lives.

It is primarily focussed on the day that Jack White, Jimmy Page, and The Edge first met and shared their experiences. This meeting soon becomes a Jam Session however, and the Rockumentary consequently features new material from all 3! Jack White when asked what he thought might happen at such a meeting joked - "Maybe a fist-fight?"

Guggenheim himself was not necessarily in disagreement to this, as he pointed out to the Daily Californian - "I mean, U2 was a Punk band that came up in direct opposition to Led Zeppelin, which was a very different type of band. Jack White himself hates technology, he hates all the machines, and the Edge is machines. Rock 'n' roll is that way; every generation comes up to destroy the generation before them..."

A profound look into the Electric Guitar Player over the past 40 years, "It Might Get Loud" opens in the US this Friday.
