Countdown to V and Reading / Leeds Festivals begins!

With LickLibrary Favourites Oasis set to Headline V in Staffordshire on Saturday night, and V in Essex on Sunday, festival-goers are once again dusting off the wellies, and counting their tent-pegs in anticipation! The Killers are due to Headline both of the venues in reverse order with Razorlight in support. Other LickLibrary featured artists to appear over the 2-day festivity will include Biffy Clyro, Jet and Ocean Colour Scene!

However, Police yesterday issued a stark warning to revellers, advising them to leave valuable items at home. Policing co-ordinator Supt Steve Johnson also said 'let there be no illusions about our stance on drug-taking or dealing. We will prosecute anyone seen to be committing criminal offences. We need people to help themselves from avoiding becoming victims of crime. They need to use common sense and think about their personal security as well as that of their property."

The Reading / Leeds Festival sees 3 of our Featured Artists Headlining over the weekend! With Kings of Leon topping the bill in Reading on Friday 28th August, Arctic Monkeys on 29th, and Radiohead on the 30th! As with V Festival, the bands will alternate the nights and venues over the weekend.

The Radiohead performance comes straight after the group's announcement that controversial new song "These Are My Twisted Words" is a genuine Radiohead recording. As LickLibrary revealed last week, the song had been leaked over the internet, and fans debated it's authenticity. However Radiohead themselves confirmed it as genuine, and it is now available as a free download. Jonny Greenwood of the band stated on their official website: "We've been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished. We're pretty proud of it."
