After rocking the BBC Radio 1 / NME stage in 2 much-rumoured Reading / Leeds festival sets, Them Crooked Vultures, who have caused a media storm since their debut gig almost a month ago, finally announced a mini UK tour today.
The reputation was once again justified at the weekend, when Them Crooked Vultures rocked Reading and Leeds festival, in 2 secret performances. The group came out to a huge reception at the festivals (28th/29th August) and then played another surprise slot to a rapturous reception at Rock en Seine (30th August.)
With a following continuing to grow at an exponential rate, Them Crooked Vultures have now confirmed they will play a handful of UK-wide dates in December. With the expectation and media speculation heightening by the day, it seems that Them Crooked Vultures can do nothing other than live up to their status as the new Supergroup.
Comprising of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters/Nirvana) fans would be excused for expecting no more than the best. And so far, so good, as Them Crooked Vultures continue to keep the crowds happy with their particular brand of distinctive alternative hard rock.
LickLibrary reported last week that the much-talked about Supergroup made their UK live debut in support of Arctic Monkeys at their Reading / Leeds festival warm-up gig.
Them Crooked Vultures will kick off their tour in December playing the following dates:
December 10: Pavilions, Plymouth, UK
December 11: Guildhall, Portsmouth, UK
December 13: Empress Ballroom, Blackpool, UK
December 14: O2 Academy, Birmingham, UK
December 15: O2 Academy, Edinburgh, UK
December 17: HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London, UK
Tickets will be limited to 4 per-person.
