Rob Halford to release Christmas album

While Rob Halford may not be known throughout the metal world for Christmas jingles, Halford III: Winter Songs is set to turn the festive season on it’s head! As well as containing original Halford material, the C.D will also feature Halford-style re-workings of more traditional Christmas songs!

Released through Halford’s own Metal Gods label, which was only launched 5 months ago, the track-list will include the former Judas Priest/Fight frontman’s rewrites of Carols and Christmas songs such as Come All Ye Faithful and Oh Holy Night, as well as all new Halford material. Although the full track-list has not yet come to light, the new Halford single – Get Into The Spirit goes out on radio and web September 29th, and is sure to give fans a taste of what is to come from the new album.

The next Halford release was originally said to be coming next March (2010), and was announced as a Digpak and BluRay  Live album from the Crucible World Tour. However, Halford have spent the last 2 years working on Halford III: Winter Songs.

Halford has promised fans they will be satisfied, saying that “The Halford band has assembled a fantastic release, and we’re excited to have produced a collection of holiday tracks which all of us have enjoyed from an early age.”
