AC/DC forthcoming boxed-set to include an amp?

Since the huge success of The Beatles re-masters and complete boxed-set, it would appear that AC/DC are set to jump in on the action with a boxed-set release of their own.

Word has been circulating that AC/DC’s mega-release will comprise of a C.D containing rare recorded material, as well as 2 C.D’s of rare live performances. The 3 C.D’s will be accompanied by a Vinyl L.P, which will also contain more studio rarities. The set will be capped off with 2 D.V.D’s. One of these D.V.D’s will be “Family Jewels Part 3” and the other, taken from their performance at Circus Krone, Germany. 

Now, there have been unconfirmed rumours are that the boxed-set will be contained within a working guitar amplifier! This is sure to set pulses racing among the AC/DC faithful. Such a release would encapsulate the louder-than-loud mentality that has kept AC/DC high in the ranks of all time great rock acts. 

The forthcoming boxed set comes almost a year after their Black Ice Steel boxed set in 2008. This was also unique, in that it included a Gibson pick with the AC/DC logo, as well as an AC/DC flag! This boxed set was limited edition, but as yet, there is no word on the number of new Amplifier-boxed-sets due for release.

Meanwhile, The Beatles have been dominating the charts with their recent re-masters releases, and their Stereo Boxed set, at a cost of £170/$200, has been selling out worldwide!
