World Painted Blood - The new song by Slayer

Slayer's highly anticipated new album "World Painted Blood" is due for release November 3rd. But the band have given fans a taste of what's to come by showcasing the title track on line. You can hear the song now at LickLibrary!

As LickLibrary previously reported, World Painted Blood, the tenth studio album from thrash-heavyweights Slayer, is set to be the first in a farewell trilogy of albums from the group. The last of these will be due out in 2012, and Rick Rubin is contacted to produce all three.

Kerry King has compared the forthcoming album to 1990's "Seasons in the Abyss"  - saying that the new 11-track release has "...a little bit of everything".

It has been rumoured that Slayer could well take part in a “Big Four of Thrash” tour. The long-awaited event would see them team up with fellow “Big Four” thrashers Anthrax, Megadeth, and Metallica. It was said that Lars Ulrich had been trying to get the idea off the ground.

Slayer have been touring with Megadeth recently, somewhat controversially. It is no secret that there has been a feud running between Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, and Slayer guitar man Kerry King. The pair have exchanged numerous comments through the media, denigrating one another publicly. 

This has not affected their professionalism however. Slayer and Megadeth will be co-headlining a number of dates throughout October, across Australia, before Slayer hit the UK and Europe in support of “World Painted Blood”.
