Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Chili Peppers' Flea, and former REM drummer Joey Waronker form new band

The supergroups just keep on coming! Thom Yorke has now announced that he will join Flea, and former drummer with REM, Joey Waronker in a new band - which still has no name! The new supergroup have announced they will make their live debut at Orpheum Theatre Los Angeles CA on October 4th playing their second show at the venue the next day.

Sole surviving member of Lynyrd Skynyrd honours fallen bandmates on new release

Gary Rossington, the only surviving original member of rock legends and LickLibrary featured artists Lynyrd Skynyrd, has honoured his deceased bandmates Ean Evans, Leon Wilkeson and Billy Powell on forthcoming Skynyrd album 'God and Guns.'

AC/DC become the latest act to suffer with sickness - six dates cancelled

As part of a recent hook-up between American Express and Harvey Goldsmith, Jeff Beck has agreed to do an hour long masterclass before the evening's gig at the Indigo2 with the Imelda May band.

Aerosmith set to make live comeback after Steve Tyler's injury

As LickLibrary reported back in early August, Steve Tyler had fallen from the stage during a performance of Love in an Elevator in South Dakota. Now after Joe Perry vented his frustration at the singer's ill health, it would appear that the Aerosmith frontman is back to form, as the Boston band gear up for two shows in Hawaii.

It is no small secret that Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey and shred-legend Paul Gilbert (a.k.a Mr Big) are back in town. After announcing their reunion in February (2009,) and subsequently touring Japan, Mr Big were destined for live dates throughout Europe, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut release in style. Joe Satriani / Coldplay legal battle ends

In December 2008, Joe "Satch" Satriani filed suit against Coldplay for plagiarising his song "If I Could Fly" on their huge hit "Viva La Vida." Yesterday the case was dropped by California District Court "upon stipulation" indicating that an out of court settlement may have been made.

Rolling Stones "murder" enquiry takes another turn

The former guitarist and co-founding member of the Rolling Stones was found dead in a swimming pool in 1969. Now, Sam Cutler (former Stones road manager) has spoken out and pointed the finger at who he believes is responsible.
