Slash turned down millions for Guns N Roses Reunion...and prefers his guitar to sex
Fri, 15 Jan 2010
Whilst reminiscing back to the best gig he ever play, with Guns N Roses in Argentina, he told GQ Magazine how as the band started to play November Rain it started to pour down and the legendary guitarist says it was the most memorable moment of his life.
In the interview he also confessed to sleeping with hundreds of women in his wild days, "It wouldn't be in the thousands, more in the hundreds, and probably not over 500".
But when asked if he’d rather play that the Argentina show again or have the best sex of his life he told the magazine he chose the show telling the magazine “I'd do the show. I can have the best sex again anyway. But even if I couldn't, I'd still go for that show in Argentina. It was something that all musicians chase, the ultimate high.”
Talking about the Guns N Roses reunion possibilities he confirmed that Axl and himself had not spoken for 13 years and they’d both turned down “hundreds of millions” when offered if they reformed.
"When we were on stage we were a real force together. But it got to a point off stage where it was impossible for us to even be in the same room together and create any music. So it's sad that something so good doesn't exist anymore, even though we are both alive and on the same planet. But that's all," he said.
Slash is due to release his debut solo album in April...we can't wait!!!!
