Jeff Beck to release first album in 7 years, & London shows with Eric Clapton a 'Excellent Concert'

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeJeff Beck is due to release his first album in 7 years in April entitled 'Emotion & Commotion' as confirmed in a recent press release on his website.  

"For his first studio album in seven years, Grammy-winning guitarist Jeff Beck returns with an eclectic mix of tracks that find the guitar virtuoso accompanied by a handpicked cast of talented musicians, as well as several songs accompanied by a 64-piece orchestra. Rhino unleashes the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s restless genius with EMOTION&COMMOTION."

The album was recorded late in 2009 at Sarm Studios in London, and to create the album's diverse sound Jeff Beck used a number of musicians including Grammy Award winner
Joss Stone.

The UK release date is 12th April 2010, and 13th April for the USA/Canada check the
Jeff Beck website for your local release dates.

This past weekend Jeff Beck joined forces with Eric Clapton for two highly anticipated shows at London's O2 Arena.

Reports online have said the shows were "Excellent concert all the way around." LickLibrary's Stuart Bull, Kim Waller and Mike Casswell took our lucky competition winner Irene to the show and they had a great time on Saturday night.

Jeff Beck opened the night with his new band and guest appearances from singer Joss Stone and Violin from Sharon Corr (The Corrs) and a 12 piece orchestra. Then Eric and his band took the stage to perform his well recieved set. Jeff Beck then joined the stage for another set, this time with Eric Clapton before ending the night with a Hi Ho Silver Lining duet encore.  Fans really did get their moneys worth!
