Avenged Sevenfold are back - New single is released online & album release date set!

Avenged Sevenfold released the first single from their new album Nightmare this week and it stormed the iTunes Rock charts to the Top spot in a matter of hours in both the UK and the US territories proving that fans are behind the record. 

The single is the first release from the band after the passing of drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, and it’s an amazing roller coaster of all the good stuff the band are known for. 

The 6 minute 16 second long track has had rave reviews from Metal Hammer Magazine and was premiered on US radio stations Monday morning. 

The new album, also entitled ‘Nightmare’ will be released on July 26th in the UK, July 27th in the USA. Fansite DeathBatNews (Who on Tuesday ran a competition to encourage fans to buy the single in the US gave away a number of prizes, there's also a contest running here for the UK singles charts - so check it out for your chance to win goodies and a poster signed by all 5 members of the band (including The Rev) have been giving fans updates on the Official Music Video for Nightmare which was filmed earlier this week in a creepy abandoned hospital in Los Angeles.
