Metallica, Van Halen and The Beatles battle it out...

The three huge names in music are all included in this years Music Game of the Year category of the Golden Joystick Awards.

All 3 bands, Metallica, Van Halen and The Beatles have all released games within the past 12 months.  "Guitar Hero: Metallica" has stiff competition in the globally  popular "Beatles Rockband" and "Guitar Hero: Van Halen"

The nominees for the award are:

Guitar Hero: Metallica, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero: Van Halen, Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero, The Beatles: Rock Band, Guitar Hero on Tour: Modern Hits, Just Dance, Lego Rock Band and Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits.
