Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour to tour in the UK

Metal Hammer magazine reported earlier this morning that Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour were rumoured to be touring the UK together on a co-headlining tour later this year. Shortly after, Kerrang Magazine posted the confirmation with a statement from Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor.

“I’m really looking forward to it!” he says. “We last did some shows with Avenged in 2007 and we got to know them really well at that time."

Both bands are releasing new albums this summer (Avenged Sevenfold's 'Nightmare' is out July 26th(UK)/27th(US) - Stone Sour's 'Mission Statement is released in early September).

Avenged Sevenfold will be joined by Mike Portnoy, who has already confirmed he will tour with the band for the rest of 2010.

More details to follow as to tour dates, locations line up etc next week, but we're pretty excited.
