Aerosmith's Steven Tyler to join American Idol

Aerosmith's frontman let the cat out of the bag recently during a concert in Las Vegas that he would likely be appearing on the next season of American Idol.

Although not yet confirmed by American Idol, the 62 year old singer's response to being asked about future plans were, "Recording an album and I'm probably going to be judge on 'American Idol'." which he then latre added "What do you think? I'm doing it."Internet rumours have said that the show will return with just 3 judges for the next season, two of which being Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.

It seems though that this revelation by the frontman has upset Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, "I found out on the internet like the rest of the world," said the guitarist. "We'd like to plan our lives, you know?"

Does this mean that Aerosmith are on the rocks... yet again?
