Van Halen recording an album due for 2011 release.

Last month it was confirmed to Rolling Stone Magazine that the Van Halen rumours were just that. Now the bands record label has confirmed a new album is due for release in 2011.

Warner/Chappell Music has extended its administration agreements with Van Halen. The official statement has now confirmed that the band are in the Studio with David Lee Roth recording a new album.

The pending release will be the band's first studio album since 1984's Diamond Dave.
