Orianthi releases album, Believe in the UK

Tue, 14 Sep 2010

Orianthi's sensational album, 'Believe' was released yesterday in the UK at last after it's sucess last year in the US.

Orianthi Panagaris is an Australian Singer-Songwriter and guitar sensation who was set to be Michael Jackson's lead guitarist on his London O2 Arena Residency and joined a prestigious line of guitar players such as Eddie Van Halen, Slash, and Carlos Santana for an experience she will never forget.  She is also featured in the 'This Is It' documentary.

When she was 11 she saw Carlos Santana play live and she begged her father to get her a second hand electric guitar so she could be like the guitarist, it was after that show she said good bye acoustic hello electric! Seven years later a dream came true for 18 year old Orianthi when she met and jammed with her hero in front of a hometown crowd when he came back to Adelaide, Australia...

From there in addition to her work with Michael Jackson & Carrie Underwood she has played with Prince, Adam Lambert, Mary J Blige and her first show was supporting Steve Vai!  She was also named in the 12 Greatest Female Electric Guitarists.  This is definitely one young woman with a huge career ahead of her!

Her album 'Believe' not only brings brings a great blend of fun and pop, but has rock elements to give everyone something to enjoy.  Preview some of the tracks from her album now on her Myspace.

Visit her official website for more information on Orianthi and her album.
Earlier this year we posted an exclusive interview with Orianthi at January's NAMM show in California.  Watch a clip from the interview below or the full interview by clicking here.
