Yesterday Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda told fans on his blog about the latest project they've been developing.  A game that will be available for iPhone and iPod touch users.

The band have been in the studio working on their follow up to 2007's Minutes to Midnight album, whilst lead vocalist Chester Bennington is also getting ready for his side project,  'Dead By Sunrise' short tour of Europe (And also a couple of dates in Japan and Taiwan).

"Many years ago, the world existed in 8-bit harmony...until PixxelKorp arrived. Now, underground forces are assembling to undo the evil corporation's mass-brainwashing campaign.  You may be our only hope to lead the rebellion to victory!"

"The new Linkin Park game is on the way. I just got a new test-build of the game, and it's looking great." he says excitedly.

The band, like everything they do, have worked hand-in-hand with the design team to create the look and content of the game, and has included some of the characters form his artwork in the game.  He then goes on to say, "For fans of my art: you'll see some new and familiar characters come to life in this 8-bit-meets-hi-res virtual world."
What's more, when you finish the game you're rewarded with a brand new Linkin Park song!
More information is to come promises Shinoda.

Dead by Sunrise will be in London in February and we'll be going along so we'll be sure to let you know how it goes.
