Sending a letter just got Rock N Roll!

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeAt the start of the year Royal Mail released a set of 10 special postage stamps featuring Classic British Album covers from artists including David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Coldplay and Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page was there to help at the launch!


Speaking to the Times newspaper, Jimmy Page said about the launch "It’s the most unexpected experience,” he says. “Having been a kid learning about stamps ... well, it’s quite a shock to be honest with you — A pleasant shock! I’m thrilled!”

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood To The Head (Released August 2002)
New Order - Power, Corruption and Lies (Released May 1983)
The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed (Released November 1969)
The Clash - London Calling (Released December 1979)
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells (Released May 1973)
Led Zeppelin - IV (Released November 1971)
Primal Scream - Screamadelica (Released September 1991)
Blur - Parklife (Released April 1994)
David Bowie - The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars (Released June 1972)
