Ex-Beatles can't play The Beatles Rock Band
Mon, 18 Jan 2010
It seems not everyone is cut out for the world of Rock Band, even famous musicians can't get the hang of it.
Ringo Starr confirmed to Late Night host Jimmy Fallon on the popular US TV chat show that he was "absolutely crap at it." he then continued to say "I'm really bad at it but I've tried it. We tried it when they were putting it together and they'd bring all these geniuses out to play it. It's too frantic for me."
Sir Paul McCartney also turned down a chance to play the game when he took his grandson's to Abbey Road studios, Creative Producer Giles Martin says Sir Paul had told him "To be honest I was in the band the first time round." Of course the boys jumped at the chance to play the game and pretend to be their grandfather.
Ringo who turns 70 this year plans to spend his birthday playing a gig at New York's Radio City Music Hall as part of his summer tour with his All Starr Band supporting his 15th Solo album "Y Not" which was released last week. The album also features ex-band mate Sir Paul McCartney.
