Ronnie James Dio limited edition statue in production

Collectibles maker KnuckleBonz have unveiled the new Rock Iconz statue of the late Ronnie James Dio that is now available for pre-order here.

The statue project is an official licenced product aproved and endorsed by Ronnie James Dio's wife/manager Wendy Dio and Niji Entertainment.  Before he passed away Ronnie had wanted to work on the project says Tony Simerman of Knucklebonz Inc, who is honoured that Wendy Dio had called them to take on the project, "It's been a real pleasure to work with Ronnie's family and the people at Niji on this project. I was a fan of Ronnie's very early and owned all the original RAINBOW records. I was fortunate enough to see him out in front of SABBATH. Ronnie James Dio was one of the greatest live performers I have ever seen."

Ronnie's wife/manager has also said that, "Ronnie would be very proud," when speaking about the statue's finished product.

In addition the statue's sales will see a portion be donated to the "Stand Up and Shout" Cancer Fund that was created in the late Ronnie James Dio's honour.  Only 3000 statue's will be created so they will be a highly collectible item, available from December 2010.
