Former Nirvana Bassist Krist Novoselic Appears on Foo's Heaviest Album To Date!!

Wed, 27 Oct 2010

Talking to BBC 1 about the bands forthcoming album, Dave Grohl has said this album will be the bands heaviest yet and will have appearances from Bob Mould (Sugar / Husker Du) and Krist Novoselic (Nirvana).

He said they've recorded seven songs with producer Butch Vig and claimed it would be super-heavy, with 'no acoustic guitars at all'.

They've also brought in Husker Du and Sugar frontman Bob Mould on a song called 'Dear Rosemary' and former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic will appear on at least one song.

If the news that Krist Novoselic wasn't exciting enough Dave also told  Zane Lowe that the entire recording process would be filmed for a documentary!

The new Foo Fighters album doesn't have a release date, but he told Zane Lowe at BBC1 '2011, you're not gonna be able to get us out of your hair.'

In the meantime, they've hooked up two shows in the UK in February with Scots Biffy Clyro, our very own Tame Impala, and American acts Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Eat World.
