New Aerosmith music and tour in 2011?
Wed, 10 Nov 2010
Aerosmith are planning a 2011 world tour and next year should see new material from the band guitarist Brad Whitford recently told Billboard.com.
Brad Whitford, who is currently touring with the Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour spoke of Steven Tyler's joining the American Idol TV show and confirmed he doesn't believe it will get in the way of the bands plans. "Obviously we'll have to work a little bit around Steven's television schedule, but he's ready to do it and he's pretty confident he can do this record, so hopefully we can get some of that new music out next year."
When talking about recording the new album he expects some if not all of the material will be recorded in Los Angeles close to American Idol HQ. "I imagine it would probably be easier for us to do it out there, just because Steven's got to be there two days every week, anyway."
The guitarist also added that he believes the bands frontman's association with "Idol" could be "could be a very good thing for the band." and is looking forward to the likely phonecall to perform on the show.
