Jimi Hendrix guitar to sell for £120,000 at auction

The gutar which the legendary guitarist bought in New York for just £15 is to be sold at London's Bonhams auctioneers on December 15th 2010 as believed to be the vintage Epiphone FT79 he used around the time of recording his final album, 'Electric Ladyland' in 1968, reports spinnermusic.co.uk.

Talking about Hendrix's love of his guitar his manager has said, "Hendrix was so attached to the guitar he would even take it with him to the bathroom."In 1970 the guitar was passed on to another musician and then a number of other artists including being used for David Bowie's "Diamond Dogs"
