Van Halen Spokesman denies that a 2011 tour and album are planned

Fri, 19 Nov 2010

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeDespite previous confirmed details that Van Halen will hit the road in 2011 with a new album it seems another denial has come out from a spokesman of the band this week.

Earlier this week melodicrock.com reported that the band had likely picked Ross Hogarth (who has previously worked with Motley Crue) to produce the upcoming album.  However Spokesman for Van Halen, Larry Solters has dismissed the report says Blabbermouth.net saying the reports are untrue.

In August Warner/Chappell Music announced that Van Halen were "currently in the studio recording an album with (singer David Lee) Roth that is due for release in 2011." So its no wonder people are getting confused, are they... aren't they?

Since the announcement earlier this morning by Download Festival that they'd booked 2 of next summers headliners Van Halen has been one of the hot rumoured acts to be hitting the event.

Head to Blabbermouth.net here for the full update.
