Kings of Leon cancel London O2 Arena show due to tourbus fire
Thu, 23 Dec 2010
Kings of Leon cancelled their London O2 Arena show earlier this week due to a fire on one of the tour buses at the venue.
On Tuesday morning one of the double decker tour buses in the loading bay area of the London venue caught fire and approximately 60 firefighters from the London FIre Brigade arrived to control the blaze reports NME.com. Luckily it appears no one was hurt in the fire, however unfortunately for the fans the show that night had to be postponed until next year due to their not being enough time for the crew to set up the bands stage and gear for the performance.
The bands spokesperson said, "The complications and disruption caused by this morning's fire have meant there is now insufficient time to rig the arena for tonight's performance. "Every opportunity has been made to allow the concert to go ahead as planned and it is a great disappointment to have to postpone the event. We are thankful to report that all crew are safe and no one was seriously injured. Kings Of Leon send their sincerest apologies to all the fans who were planning and travelling to attend what was due to be a triumphant finale to their European tour tonight. The date will be rescheduled in 2011 at the first available opportunity."
