The Aerosmith saga continues... (again)
Mon, 01 Feb 2010
The Aerosmith saga continues as the band talk of approaching possible replacements for Steven Tyler, his 'people' have however started to take steps to maintain his position in the band.
Billboard.com reports that Steven Tyler’s attorney has sent a letter to the bands management last week requesting that they "immediately cease and desist from engaging in acts and conduct to the harm and detriment of your own client, Aerosmith, and our client who is one of its members."
Attorney Skip Miller, representing Steven Tyler told Billboard.com that he’s called a meeting of Aerosmith’s ‘Shareholders’ to discuss the future of the band including a new album, and touring this year in Europe and South America.
The four page letter dated 27th January, also reportedly states "we reserve all of our legal rights and remedies in this matter, including, without limitation, pursuing legal action for damages and other appropriate relief." According to Skip Miller the Aerosmith frontman does not want lawsuits at all and has been writing new songs for an Aerosmith album and will be ready to perform at the proposed dates later in the year.
I expect this isn’t the last we hear about this…what’s next?
