Abbey Road Studios taken off the market & listed by English Heritage

Last week Abbey Road Studios was put up for sale by EMI records to help fund the companies debt issues which brought concerns and upset to musicians and fans alike of the historic North London Studios where The Beatles recorded most of their hits.
Sir Paul McCartney threw his support behind the protest to save the studios, whilst Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber had put his hand up to buy Abbey Road Studios.
This week the record label as taken the property off the market after English Heritage deemed the Studios a Grade II status because of its 'huge cultural importance'.
On Sunday EMI confirmed they will not be selling the studios and had rejected an offer for £30million last year. They also admitted that Abbey Road had been losing mony and were planning to develop and revitalise the facility saying, "These plans would involve a substantial injection of new capital."
