Thrash Metal's Big Four could tour the UK and US in 2011

Metallica's Lars Ultich recently told Classic Rock Magazine a UK and US Big Four tour could possibly on the cards.

The drummer said he, "would champion trying to do this (the big four) in 2011 or 2012, obviously in England and the United States. It's just a matter of logistics. I don't think there's anybody involved who considers there's a sell-by date on this."

Metallica were planning a mammoth 'equivalent of The Wall tour',  However Lars now wants to put this plan back to bring the Big Four tour to the United States. He says the tour is still on the agenda, "We might incorporate a lot of different ideas, instead of it being one particular thing. It would be a multitude of theatrical elements, maybe as an idea for a one-off tour or something."

After almost two and a half years on the road Metallica will now take a break until November.
