Mon, 09 Aug 2010
After the successful run of shows in Europe, Slayer are keen to get on board for the Big Four to hit even more fans around the world and do it all again.
Both Slayer's Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King were both happy to hear Metallica's Lars Ulrich's recent comments predicting the Big Four will once again tour together again in 2011 and 2012.
"When we were out there, any time I got a chance to talk to Lars I was like, 'Dude, we've got to do this more. We've got to go everywhere! It's so cool, everybody deserves to see it," King says in a recent interview before continuing. "The toughest thing is the logistics of it all; if everybody is on board, I think it'll happen."
Slayer are about to hit the road in the US for a 10-Week 'American Carnage Tour' with Megadeth and Testament on August 11th. On the Canadian Carnage section of the tour the band will be playing its 1990 album "Seasons In the Abyss" album in full whilst Megadeth will play the entire "Rust In Peace" album which takes both bands back to their 1990-1991 Clash Of The Titatns tour.
Slayer are currently starting to think about their next studio album, the follow up to 2009's Grammy Award Nomiated "World Painted Blood" but no plans are details have been set for recording yet.
Kerry King has said about the next album, "When we were off for six, seven months earlier this year and had nothing else to do, I said, 'I should take this time and do something,' but sure as shit I didn't pick up a guitar for four weeks! But I think about the next album all the time, so we'll get into it soon enough."
