Guns N Roses cancel all tour dates - inc Reading & Leeds Festival
Mon, 16 Aug 2010
Last night Guns N Roses fans received the news that all upcoming tour dates were cancelled. The news came from frontman Axl Roses Official Twitter account.
"All upcoming Guns N' Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds." The message read. Fans and news sites are speculating that this could have been a hack to his account as most of his tweets come from iPhone and this was posted via mobile web.
However a short while later, guitarist Ron Bumblefoot posted on his Facebook page in response to a fan; "Give it 48 hours, hopefully whatever it is will get resolved. (No one quit the band or anything like that...) Ron"
The official Guns N Roses twitter & Facebook pages posted at the same time, "We are looking into this tweet from the @ twitter account. Please RT + keep with us here for official word. TY"
Whilst all this was happening guitarist, DJ Ashba posted on his Twitter account that he was with the vocalist. "Still in rapid city Buying guns with Axl..."
It all seems very confusing, and a little bit like the Aerosmith drama a few months ago!
Currently no official announcement has come out from Reading or Leeds Festivals to confirm the band will not be making their headline appearance. Stay tuned for more details.
