LickLibrary Weekend Guitar Challenges - Week 1

Fri, 27 Aug 2010

We thought we’d start selling you fun weekly challenges on our Facebook page, here’s week 1 – your chance to improvise and create your own performance to a Bass performance by Phil Williams from our YouTube Channel.

What do you need to do?
1. Watch and Listen to this video by Phil Williams
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkO0uuarfYo
2. Jam To The Track!
Jam along to the Bass Performance by Phil Williams (don’t worry you don’t have to play the Red hot Chili Pepper track if you don’t know it – we’re hoping you’ll do a bit of improvising and create your own licks! – Don’t forget to film yourself Jamming to the track when you’re done!
3. Upload it to YouTube!
Then when you’re done load it to your YouTube channel (if you don’t have one you can create one for free) and then upload it as a video response to our video
4. Post it on Facebook!
Then for fun show your friends on facebook and use the @LickLibrary tagging feature to tell your friends you took the challenge (include the URL for your video!)  and that’ll post the video on our Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/licklibrary) wall aswell, we’ll then check them out on Tuesday and choose our favourite.

Here’s How to post a video response:
Once signed into your YouTube Account follow these steps...
Step1 - Scroll down and click in the comment box
Step2 - Click the 'attach video' button that appears beside the comment box (this is the video to attach)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkO0uuarfYo
Step3 - Either record a video response with a web cam OR choose a Video already uploaded on your YouTube Account OR upload a video from your computer.

We can't wait to see your ideas!
