With The Killers, Brandon Flowers has sold millions of albums worldwide and headlined festivals such as Glastonbury but this week the frontman has something else to celebrate, his solo album going straight into number 1 in the album charts.
After seven years of non-stop touring with The Killers, the band decided to take some time off, but Brandon Flowers kept on working, but despite the success of the new album, Flamingo and his upcoming sold out solo tour, he is fast to reassure the fans that he will remain solo from the rest of his band. "The band were actually relieved when I told them, because they wanted a break. They have faith in me. They know I'm not trying to surpass The Killers." He tells the Daily Mail newspaper.
"I never intended to make a solo album," he explains. "I did it because I like writing songs and singing them."
