Faith No More to be no more after final show in Chile
Thu, 16 Sep 2010
Faith No More will call it a day for good after their final show in December in Santiago, Chile.
Earlier this week the recently reunited band announced they would be splitting for good at the end of 2010. "It's true, we're giving Santiago what they've asked for. We're wrapping up the FNM reunited tour in Santiago, Chile on December 5!!!!" says Roddy Bottum on his Twitter page.
Roddy Bottum, Keyboardist for the band, recently told Chile's Terra.cl, "In my opinion recording an album was a great idea. The balance was good because we know each other well. But things were complicated — it was very strange to return after a decade.
When we decided to get together, it was to reconnect and relive something we had in common. It was very important to us — but doing these shows was the only thing we were going to do.
The craziest thing was when we met for the first time, all in a room after not seeing each other for so long.
When we started, I thought we would only see older people at the shows, but it was mostly young people and that was very surprising.
We've visited many wonderful places and it's all been good."
Last June (2009) the band made its come back at Brixton Academy in London, England and have been playing shows since then to excited fans who had hopes for a new album.
In addition to the bands final show in Chile on December 5th, the band have also this week announed a show at the end of November in Los Angeles, California - you can get tickets here. (Pre-Sale Password: second coming)
