Muse rock Wembley Stadium with the sci-fi show

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeMUSE have been wowing crowds throughout the year on tour and at festivals, last weekend they rocked London's Wembley Stadium.  The band picked their support act as singer Lily Allen who earlier this year announced she was quitting the music business and that the MUSE gig would be her last.

Muse played a 21 song set to their sold out crowd a mixture of fan favourites and new tracks from current album, 'The Resistence' with a special effects filled extravaganza complete with lazers and a silver glitter dropping UFO that flied over the crowd.

One fan, Jon Barker from London, who attended both nights at Wembley Stadium told us, "It was superb.  They were pitch perfect, with a wonderful balance of older songs and newer tracks.  Matt Belamy had a keytar, a double necked guitar and his traditional super awesome sound effexy one. They even had a spaceship and a flying thing!"

Their mammoth setlist was:
'Uprising'
'Supermassive Black Hole'
'New Born'
'Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)'
'Butterflies & Hurricanes'
'Guiding Light'
'Hysteria'
'United States Of Eurasia'
'I Belong To You (+Mon Cœur S'ouvre à Ta Voix)'
'Feeling Good'
'Undisclosed Desires'
'Resistance'
'Starlight'
'House Of The Rising Sun'
'Time Is Running Out'
'Unnatural Selection'
'Soldier's Poem'
'Exogenesis: Symphony Part 1: Overture'
'Stockholm Syndrome'
'Take A Bow'
'Plug In Baby'
'Knights of Cydonia'

Later this month Michael Casswell is in the LickLibrary studio to film the brand new Learn to Play MUSE DVD which will be out later this year! Details to follow when they're available!
