Sacha Baron Cohen (Aka AliG) will play Freddie Mercury in movie about Queen

Queen guitarist, Brian May, announced today that the Ali G and Borat Star will be playing Freddie Mercury in a new film about Queen.

In an interview with the BBC's HARDtalk, Brian May confirmed "We have Sacha Baron Cohen, which will probably be a shock to a lot of people, but he's been talking with us for a long time," 

The film will focus on the band's time leading up to their Live Aid 1985 performance and will begin shooting in 2011.

Queen band members, Brian May and Roger Taylor will oversee music featured in the film which will feature both songs by the band and Freddie Mercury's solo material.
