This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full size2010 was a pretty full year for us at LickLibrary, we had a successful string of Webcasts with Stuart Bull, Rick Parfitt, Guthrie Govan, Danny Gill and Andy James! Although due to scheduling issues Mike Casswell’s webcast was postponed he’s still definitely going to be doing a webcast… as soon as we get back into the swing of things for the webcasts we’ll let you know the details!

In 2010 we released alot of new DVD's and series, including the number 1 best selling product of the year, Danny Gill's Rock Guitar In 6 Weeks.  The 'In 6 Weeks Series' has expanded since we released Stuart Bull's Electric Blues (in late 2009) and includes Metal Shred Guitar & Metal Rhythm by Andy James, Country Guitar and American Blues by Steve Travato.  In 2011 we'll be releasing the new Advanced Blues, Danny Gill's 7 part series on The Modes and more 'in 6 weeks' to come!

We also released a large number of titles into the popular new Learn to Play & Jam with ranges, Quick Licks, technique DVD's and more, head over to the store to check out all the products or our new 2011 interactive catalogue here   (For USA & Canada please click here)

I got given a custom 7 string from ESP! (Pictured right with the vice president of ESP guitars)

What has been your favourite LickLibrary DVD you've filmed this year?
Jam with Dream Theater

Toughest LickLibrary DVD you've filmed this year?
Jam with Dream Theater

Your best moment of 2010?Andy on stage at Sonisphere Festival
Being able to work as a musician and get paid!!! Also playing on Cradle of Filth's new album. That was a cool experience. Sonisphere was also a big highlight, it’s been a good year actually!

What's on the cards for you in 2011, anything new?
I’ve got a few tours to do, a new solo album to finish and a new sacred album to record so its set to be a busy year.

Check out Sacred Mother Tongue here

Danny Gill’s 2010

Favourite gig/live performance of the year that you've seen?Danny Gill before his live webcast in April 2010
Korn. Awesome live band.  Doesn’t hurt that my good friend Ray Luzier is playing drums with them now.

Who's your guitar hero of 2010?
Guthrie. He gets more ridiculous every time I see him. Also some acoustic players; Antoine Dufour, Tommy Emmanuel

What's been your favourite guitar related purchase of 2010?
A True Temperament guitar neck. It’s got the weird frets so that it is perfectly intonated. Great for recording.

What has been your favourite LickLibrary DVD you've filmed this year?
The Modes. 7 dvds  in all so I was able to expand on each one a bit.

Toughest LickLibrary DVD you've filmed this year?
Probably Jam with Hendrix 2. This dvd features many previously unreleased trax so there were no transcritptions or performances to look at. Had to do it all old school style—by ear.

Your best moment of 2010?
Doing a KISS gig with the full makeup and pyro!

Anything you've learnt this year or new techniques that you want to share as a top tip?
Play some harmonics at the 12th fret as you normally would; then with the picking hand strike the same harmonics from behind the fretting hand. Magic!

What's on the cards for you in 2011, anything new?
Gigs,dvds,new tunes,perhaps a few days when I can sleep in…
