Aerosmith delay new album because they can't find Joe Perry!
Tue, 11 Jan 2011
Aerosmith have had to put back the recording of their new album as the band can't find their guitarist Joe Perry.
Frontman Steven Tyler recently told RollingStone.com "I'm trying to rally the guys together, we're having trouble getting Joe. I don't know where he is, but just come down to L.A. at the end of January sometime. I've had enough downtime."
After a turbulent 2010 the band had planned to hit the studio this month to record their new album, but it seems a new rift has gone between the frontman and his lead guitarist since the announcement that Steven Tyler would be appearing as a judge on American Idol. But the singer still has confidence that the pair can find a way to get it together once again.
"We just have to get together and put the shit together," he tells Rolling Stone "That's all. We're all musicians, and what does that say for itself? We're like peripheral visionaries. We don't see what's in front of us more often than not. We see what's off to the sides. I just need to get them all together and put it together to be a band that is. That's all."
