Coldplay are close to finishing their new album according to a blog on the bands officia
l website. The follow up to 2008's 'Viva la Vida' or 'Death and All His Friends' will be produced once again by Brian Eno.
"I suspect that the band has had a reasonable idea all along of how things will feel when they're finished, in the same way that a sculptor sees the finished piece, but just needs to dig it out of the block," Roadie #42 wrote. "There's been much chiselling [sic] and smoothing and now things are really developing a recognisable form and an emotional resonance."
The band are also putting together plans for their live performances in 2011 where the tour production manager, Wob Roberts, has been assembling new gear and technology to asses what would be right for the bands shows and festival appearances and it looks like the shows are going to be explosive as he talks about the team being working away at what used to be a secure and secret military base that's now a site for bands, labels and all manner of musical productions, "we found the place full of crazy-arsed roadies blowing shit up, running around with the hugest toys imaginable and generally making a wonderful mess in the name of creating a bloody good time for crowds of music lovers.
