Metallica's Lars Ulrich will be swapping his drumsticks for acting

Metallica's Lars Ulrich is set to appear in a new movie with Nicole Kidnap and Clive Owen in a movie about Ernest Hemingway.

NYMag.com reported that the drummer has been cast to play the role of Joris Ivens, a dutch documentarian in the HBO TV Movie about the marriage between Ernest Hemingway and Martha Gellhorn.

There has been no information or news that his acting commitments will get in the way of the new Metallica material they are set to record in a ten-day project which guitarist Kirk Hammett explained as "not really 100 percent a Metallica record...without getting too deep into it, it’s more a recording project than a bona fide Metallica album."
