Green Day's American Idiot to close next month

After reports of ticket sales dropping after singer Billy Joe Armstrong left the cast, Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway announced it will close in April.

The final show at the St James Theater on Broadway in New York City will be on April 24th 2011, but the show will go on, as American Idiot The Musical will go on tour in the Autumn.

Green Day frontman Billy Joe, will return to the stage for the shows final 3 weeks starting on April 5th.
